As the Senior Financial Consultant at JMB Financial Services, Jacob Proulx entered the financial services industry to help protect clients' hard-earned money while giving as little as possible back to Uncle Sam. His main focus is to use sound financial strategies to minimize income taxes while protecting clients' assets from stock market downturns. As a former Boeing Electrical Engineer, Jacob is skilled at solving complex problems and explaining the solutions in an easy-to-understand fashion.

Jacob became passionate about becoming a financial professional in 2008 when he witnessed the stock market wipe out trillions of dollars in IRA and 401(k) accounts. As a problem solver, Jacob knew that not everyone lost a huge chunk in the stock market, so he went on a search to find out why not everyone was devastated. His search unveiled a few financial strategies that never lose capital when the stock market drops, and yet receive gains when the stock market rises.

Jacob started working in the mortgage lending industry in 2002 before entering the financial services industry. He has since helped multiple individuals and their families in the greater Seattle area build smart financial portfolios. He is licensed in life and disability insurance in the state of Washington and is a member of Missed Fortune Producer Group. He has been featured on local news affiliates including ABC, NBC, Fox and CBS News for his financial expertise and trusted guidance.

Away from the office, Jacob enjoys playing softball, pool, golf and spending time with his family. He resides in Bonney Lake with his wife, Michelle, and is the proud father of two sons, two pugs and a lab.

Michelle Proulx, Office Manager at JMB Financial Services, is Jacob's official right-hand-man. She was a paralegal for 18 years before joining forces with Jacob in the financial services industry. They have been happily married since 1994.
